Web panel
Prepare and track your events on the web panel
Create an event from your desk, send it to your booths, follow the photos and share the gallery.
The Events page of the web panel app.boothx.org lets you prepare your jobs from any computer, then find them on your booths. It also brings together each event's figures and galleries.
The event list
At the top of the page, a few key figures:
- the events running on your booths (“No event in progress” otherwise);
- the next event and its countdown (“in 3 d”);
- Photos taken, including how many are on the Cloud;
- Gallery views and downloads.
The list can be filtered by status (All, Live, Upcoming, Ended, No date), by booth (All booths or a specific booth), and sorted (Newest, Oldest, Name (A → Z), Most photos). The Search for an event… field filters by name.
Each row shows:
- the Schedule (dates, or “No date · available any time”) and the Status;
- the Booth concerned;
- the Photos: how many are on the booth, how many are on the Cloud;
- the Design (number of templates);
- the Gallery: Link active or Link expired;
- the origin: Created on the booth or Created on the panel.
Creating an event
- Click New event.
- Choose the type (Wedding, Birthday, Corporate, Party, Christening, Trade show, Other), the name and, if needed, the dates.
- Save: “‘Name’ created”.
The number of events depends on your plan: the Events used gauge shows it (Free: 20, Pro: 100, Ultra: 500). At the limit, the panel shows Limit reached and offers to upgrade to a higher plan.
Preparing the design
The panel's Editor lets you prepare templates and screens on a big screen, with your mouse and keyboard, then find them on the booth. It's handy for working on a client's branding at the office, the day before the job.
Avoid editing the same design at the same time on the panel and on the booth: the last saved version wins, and the booth warns you if its unsaved changes would replace those from the panel.
Sending the event to your booths
There's nothing to do: your booths download the account's events as soon as they are connected to the internet, and upload their photos to you. For a venue without a network, open BoothX on the booth the day before and click Sync now to make sure you have the latest version.
On the day, launch the event on the booth, or remotely with the Launch “Name” command (see Remote commands and sync).
Following the event live
During the job:
- the status changes to Live;
- photos arrive as they are taken if the booth is connected;
- the booth's page shows the event in progress and the day's activity.
Sharing the gallery
The Share button gives you the gallery link: “Your guests get their photos with this link.” Send it to the client, add it to a thank-you email, or display it on a card at the exit.
Duplicating and deleting
- Duplicate creates a copy of the event for a similar job.
- Delete asks for confirmation: its gallery link will stop working and your booths will no longer receive it. Photos already on a booth stay there until the event is deleted on that booth.
Organizing a season
For a rental company or a photographer with back-to-back jobs:
- create events as soon as the quote is signed, with their dates: the panel shows the next event and the booth's calendar fills up;
- duplicate a “template” event for each type of job (wedding, corporate, trade show);
- filter by booth to know which booth goes where.
