Game booth
Leaderboard and printable prize screen
Show the top players, print a prize voucher and organize prize handout.
Feature being rolled out. Depending on your version of BoothX, the score display and prize printing may differ from this description.
The leaderboard
The leaderboard shows the event's top players: rank, nickname and score. It creates friendly competition on a stand: visitors come back to beat the record, and passers-by stop to watch.
- The player enters a nickname at the end of their game if they make it onto the leaderboard. Nothing requires them to give their real name.
- The ranking is specific to each event.
- In case of a tie, the fastest player comes first (for timed games), otherwise the first to get there.
Show the scores on a big screen
With a second screen, show the leaderboard on a loop facing visitors while the game is played on the touchscreen. See Use multiple screens.
Reset the leaderboard
Reset the ranking after your test games, or every morning of a multi-day trade show to give everyone a chance. Resetting asks for confirmation.
Moderation
An inappropriate nickname can be removed from the leaderboard from your screen. Keep this in mind if the booth is open to the public all day.
The prize screen
When a player wins a prize (wheel of fortune, quiz score threshold, designated winner), the prize screen appears with:
- the name of the prize;
- the event name and the date;
- a prize code or number, to avoid duplicates at the counter.
Print it
If a printer is connected, the prize screen can print automatically: the player leaves with a voucher to show at the stand to collect their prize. Printing uses the active printer on the Printers page, just like photos.
A small format is enough: a 4 × 6" photo printer works very well, and 2 × 6" strip cutting lets you print two vouchers on one sheet.
Hand out the prizes
- Check the prize code on the voucher, and cross out or keep the voucher once the prize is handed out.
- Keep the list of prizes won (wheel statistics or contest export) to reconcile the prizes handed out with the stock.
- For big prizes, ask for ID if your rules require it.
Without a printer
Without a printer, the prize screen stays up for a few seconds: the attendant sees the win on screen and hands over the prize directly. You can also ask the player to take a picture of the screen with their phone.
End-of-event statistics
For your client report, the game booth provides:
- the number of games played;
- the number of wins per prize and the remaining stock;
- for the quiz, the average score;
- for the contest, the number of sign-ups and consents.
