Setting up your camera for the photo booth
The recommended camera settings for sharp, consistent photos all evening long.
These settings are made on the camera itself, once and for all.
| Setting | Recommended value |
|---|---|
| Auto power off | Disabled |
| Shooting mode | Manual (M) or aperture priority (Av) |
| Image quality | JPEG L fine, no RAW |
| Focus | One-shot AF with face detection |
| Wi-Fi | Disabled when using USB |
| Memory card | Inserted, as a backup of the transferred photos |
| Power | AC adapter rather than battery |
Exposure
Under stable evening lighting, manual mode guarantees identical photos from one session to the next. Starting point: 1/125 s, f/5.6, ISO 400 with a flash or continuous lighting, to be adjusted with a test photo.
Framing
Use the live preview on the Cameras page. The composition grid helps you line up the camera, and the mirrored preview makes posing feel more natural for guests: the saved photo stays the right way around.
In BoothX
The countdown, the number of photos per session and the delay between photos are set in Shooting settings.
